Helena Handbasket (she/they) was born in the Great American Southwest to a science-loving doctor and a bibliophilic nurse. In 5th grade, Helena received the award for Biggest Ham and from there, their career began to blossom. A classically trained actor and dancer, Helena made their burlesque debut with The Cheek Of It! Burlesque School in London, England at the famous Madame Jojo’s in Soho. Since her move to this great city in 2012, Helena has had the pleasure of performing all around Chicago, the US, and internationally. Known for her cheeky and nerdy style, Helena’s numbers vary from classic to sexy to silly. Helena’s alter ego, Caito, is a professional actor who has starred in an indie feature films, 2 in The Bush: A Love Story (Strange Charm). She also two majorly nerdy and queer upcoming projects that are still under wraps. Favorite fandoms include: Shakespeare, Good Omens, Star Wars, D&D, Wic/Div, Saga, Sailor Moon, DC/Marvel, Hannibal, and horror films.
